The purchase of Blue Moo Begins!

The first home owners grant was within my sight but just out of reach. So feeling bored on a Monday avo I decided to whizz through real estate guide looking for a house and discovered one that could just suit a Fijian and a Tassie girl.
The winning description was Space. I submitted a request to look at it and received a return email the next day.
I met the real estate agent the next day, had a look and instantly fell in love. We are working at the bottom of the barrel budget and looking at non stop weatherboard boxes inhabitied by uni students living in squalor or brick boxes for retirees was really depressing.
This house was a green acqua blue. It was weatherboard but as mum later revealed to me has the look of beach houses at Bridport, my childhood summer destination. That's it. My inner city beach shack.... it all makes sense now. Having a husband who wants to be outdoors and grow things, as well as run daily, meant backyard space was essential and living near a reserve with fire trails, gives him the sense of being out in the open which he craves. Yippee!
I told Chita about it, and then took him to see the house the next day and he fell in love too. We took a Fijian friend with us who told us that we had chosen a big block, the house was set back from the road and that there was off street parking for cars. Chita and I were roaming around the house with stars in our eyes and not even thinking about practical stuff.
That was to come.....
